‘The women at Chapel worked very hard to make these dresses. Some purchased material; others who did not sew cut out the patterns or ironed them and someone even went to the thrift store to purchase all of the children’s shorts they could find. (These were part of the 20 shorts that were given out.) The children were very happy to have the new clothes and the mothers were extremely happy to have them for their children. The wonderful thing for me was taking what was a heart of love and ministry from the women at Chapel and giving it to these children and seeing their smiling faces! While they could not go to Uganda physically, they were certainly there in spirit as I handed out the dresses . It illustrates in a very tangible way how anyone can participate in the proclamation of the gospel: sending someone; funding for supplies; books; medicine or clothes for loving children.” Rev. Daren L. Russell |
